Anderson Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You
As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our patient care team, helping ensure smooth workflow, quality care, and a positive client experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Supporting and advocating for pets while educating clients with warmth and clarity
- Helping with patient handling, sample collection, and basic in-house lab testing
- Maintaining accurate medical records and contributing to efficient patient flow
- Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use
- Bringing a positive, team-oriented mindset to support excellent patient care
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to teamwork
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary care highly preferred
- Experience in vaccine protocols, and surgical monitoring preferred
- Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes
- Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures, terminology, and daily patient care
- A willingness to learn, grow, and support the team in a collaborative environment

Anderson Veterinary Clinic is a full-service small animal practice offering preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care in a friendly, supportive setting. We are dedicated to excellent medicine and a culture built on respect, collaboration, and professional growth. Our veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team work together seamlessly to ensure every patient receives attentive, compassionate care.
We are open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm and Saturday 8am-4pm
Our clinic has proudly cared for the Anderson and Redding communities for decades, providing compassionate, high-quality care to the pets who mean the most to the families we serve.

Pay is competitive and based on experience, typically ranging from $19-$22.50 per hour. The final rate will reflect your skills, experience, and qualifications.
